If you’re serious about UX, you’re probably running regular usability tests – and over time, that means a lot of data piling up in your Trymata account.
Some of those older tests might not get much attention after you’re finished with them. But some tests are ones you’ll keep coming back to – whether it’s…
- a benchmark test that you’re using as a baseline for this quarter’s product roadmap,
- a template test that you regularly copy to create new studies,
- a recurring test that you keep running new sprints for,
- an upcoming moderated test that you want to keep in view until the scheduled time arrives,
- or something else you want to keep handy!
As of this week, we’ve added an easy way for you to pin tests, or folders of tests, so that you always have easy access to them.
How it works
In the menu for each folder or test on your dashboard, you’ll see an option now that says “Pin this test” or “Pin this folder.”
When you click the option to pin a test, that test will immediately move to the top of your tests list, with a blue “pinned” icon next to the title.
It will continue displaying there permanently, including during all future sessions, unless you unpin it later.
Folders will work pretty much the same way – after pinning one, it will stay all the way at the left of the folders list, also showing the blue “pinned” icon. It will remain there until you unpin it again.
To unpin something, just open the menu again. For any test or folder that’s already pinned, the menu will now instead display an “Unpin this test/folder” option.
Pinning shared tests and folders
When you pin a test or folder, it applies for your whole organization.
In other words, if you pin something that the other members of your Trymata plan are shared on, it will be pinned on their dashboards too. You and your colleagues will be able to keep important research items in easy reach for the whole team.
We hope this little improvement is a useful tool as you perform your UX research with Trymata! What other new features and additions would you like to see for your dashboard?
