New video player: Keyboard commands and shortcuts

We’ve recently updated our video player to allow for a variety of new features and benefits. First and foremost, the new player loads very quickly, so you don’t have to worry about waiting around at all before your user video starts playing.

The new player is also a major visual update, with a clean, modern look that feels as comfortable as it works. With this clean new style, users will find the usability and efficiency of interacting with videos results much improved. Every action is smoother and simpler, from searching forwards or backwards to changing the volume or full-screening your video.

Within the new player, we’ve incorporated some keyboard shortcuts that will make watching and analyzing your user videos a breeze.

When watching a video, press “?” to see an overlay of the available keyboard shortcuts. Pressing the same hides the overlay again. We hope these shortcuts will make analyzing your user videos and finding and sharing key insights quicker and easier than ever.

You can check out the new video player by playing any of your user testing videos, or check out a user testing example video.
