Today we are thrilled to announce that Trymata has come to an agreement to join forces with leading surveys & research platform QuestionPro.
QuestionPro is a powerful insights platform with global reach, boasting offices and data centers in 12 countries across 6 different continents. With product suites for surveys, market research, customer experience (CX), and employee experience, QuestionPro offers solutions for a wide array of insights needs.
With this merger, Trymata will expand that array of product suites, becoming QuestionPro’s complete UX insights solution. All of our research modes – unmoderated usability tests, moderated tests, user interviews, and focus groups – will be maintained and expanded as part of this new arrangement.
Why?
For a long time here at Trymata, we’ve been firm believers that UX research should not be siloed away from the other insights collection exercises that organizations engage in. Building a holistic understanding of your users from multiple angles, with a variety of data types and through a variety of methods, enables smarter decision-making and empowers companies to provide the best experiences for their users.
With the recent launch of Trymata’s new focus groups feature, our platform now provides advanced, purpose-built solutions for all major categories of synchronous and asynchronous user research approaches. Of course, we still have many more plans for improving and expanding our features – but at this moment, the Trymata platform has matured to a juncture where it made sense to partner with a company that would help our customers reach beyond UX research, and get to know their users from every angle.
QuestionPro’s wide-ranging set of research solutions and history of leadership in that field makes them a perfect complement to Trymata’s robust UXR toolset. Not only that, but the pre-existing deep relationship and integration between our two companies makes this merger a natural next step for all parties.
What does this mean for Trymata users?
Over the course of February, you will see many functional upgrades to your account. We will be rolling these out as part of our deployment cycle, and we will seamlessly move you over to the QuestionPro platform and ecosystem.
Your usability tests and results are all going to function the exact same way for the near-term future. We will notify you when your account is migrated to QuestionPro, at which time you will immediately receive access to additional functionalities including Diaries, Quests, and Discussions – these will be added to your existing Trymata plan subscription as part of the merger.
There is no action that you need to take right now. Your current license and subscription cycle with Trymata will remain in place without any changes, and by the end of March all customers will be moved fully over to QuestionPro with the same terms that you currently have.
Below, we have provided the answers to a few pertinent questions. For more information, you may also read QuestionPro’s blog article about the merger >
FAQ
For customers:
Will there be any changes to my Trymata plan, pricing, or services?
- No. Your current Trymata plan subscription will continue with the same terms, and any contracts you have with Trymata will remain in effect. You will retain uninterrupted access to all of the same Trymata features and functionalities that you have been receiving.
- Going forward, QuestionPro will be continuing to support, maintain, and develop our comprehensive synchronous & asynchronous user research features.
- In fact, a new set of features will be auto-enabled on your account by the end of Q1 2026. We will roll these new features out as part of our expedited upgrade cycle. The initial set of features will include Asynchronous Research Models including:
- Qualitative Diaries
- Quests
- Discussion Groups
What changes will I see to my account?
- There will be some important changes to how you use your Trymata account. Most importantly, the login will be redirected to QuestionPro – we will auto-provision QuestionPro accounts for each Trymata account and eventually users will be asked to login using their QuestionPro account. This will happen after Q1.
- You will also see changes to our branding gradually roll out over the next few months, as Trymata becomes more fully integrated into the QuestionPro platform. This means names, colors, and visual styles may change; however, the basic layout of your account will remain essentially the same. You will create, find, and view your tests and data much the same way.
What new services and/or features will I have access to after the merger?
- After your account is migrated to QuestionPro, you will automatically receive access to a new set of features that will supplement Trymata’s current tools to form the expanded new QuestionPro UX solution.
- These 3 new features are called Diaries, Quests, and Discussion Groups, and will further increase the array of qualitative UX approaches at your disposal. We will be releasing more information about these features very soon!
- QuestionPro also offers several other product suites that can be added to your account depending on your research needs, including surveys, customer experience, and more.
Will my existing data, tests, and historical results be preserved?
- Yes, all of your existing research that you have completed with Trymata will continue to be stored. You will not lose access to any of the work you have done on our platform.
Who can I speak with if I have questions?
- We are in the process of connecting all current Trymata customers with new QuestionPro representatives who will be assigned to their accounts. You may send any questions you have to your QuestionPro account manager.
- In case you have not been connected yet, please reach out to [email protected]. Over the month of February, we will contact each customer and introduce them to the new QuestionPro Account Manager
For testers:
Will there be any changes to test availability or payouts?
- No. All Trymata customers are being transitioned over to the new platform without any interruptions to service, so the number and frequency of available tests should not be affected.
- There are also no changes planned to the payout amounts for completed tests.
Are there any changes that will affect my account?
- No – your account will remain the same, including how and where you log in. The Trymata website will continue to be used indefinitely as the home base of the tester community even after Trymata’s customers are migrated to QuestionPro.
- At that point, tests launched on QuestionPro by researchers will be sent to the Trymata site for testers to perform.
Will there be more test opportunities in the future?
- After our merger with QuestionPro, their customers will have the option to start using the Trymata user testing features to create and launch their own tests. This means that after a little while, the number of available tests will increase, and we anticipate that you will have more opportunities to get paid.
