We’re very excited to announce that AI-powered analysis for your Trymata test videos is here! This is the first of a series of planned AI features we will be unveiling over the near-term future.
In this article, we’ll describe what’s already live, with screenshots of the new feature, as well as what else is coming down the pipeline. Keep reading to learn all about Trymata AI insights!
All about the new AI features
For customers with Trymata’s new AI Insights feature: when you get your test results back, each video will be automatically analyzed, summarized, and annotated with AI. This analysis will comprise 2 main pieces:
Video summary: Every video will have a 1-paragraph AI-generated summary that describes the main themes and overall tenor of the session. Any notable issues that arose during the test will be highlighted.
AI annotations: Every video will also have up to 6 AI-generated annotations – notes with click-to-play timestamps bookmarking specific moments in the session. These notes will bookmark the most salient bits of feedback in each test session, both positive and negative. All AI annotations will be tagged with #Positive or #Negative to indicate the broad category of feedback they fall under.
Your AI annotations will be displayed alongside your videos with “Trymata AI bot” as the author, but can also be edited or removed at the discretion of the researchers with access to that test.
How does the AI Insights feature work in my account?
If the AI Insights features is turned on for your Trymata plan, all of your organization members will have access to it, and all tests created and run by them can be analyzed with AI.
Organization admins can choose whether every test created by their members includes AI analysis by default. Either way, the test creator always has the option to turn AI Insights on or off while creating or editing a test.
AI analysis can also be run after the fact. If you run a test without the feature turned on, but decide you want AI summaries and annotations once the results come in, you can generate those from the test page. This means you can also try the feature out on your old tests that have already been completed.
What’s coming next for Trymata’s AI features?
For now, our AI insights feature is available just for unmoderated usability tests. However, work is already underway to expand the feature to cover all of our research types, including moderated usability tests and interviews.
We’ll also be continuing to work on improvements and expansions to these capabilities, in order to make your AI summaries and annotations even more valuable.
Next, we’ll be working on AI summaries at the study level – insights dashboards that synthesize feedback from all of the multiple videos and results for a whole test, and aggregate these insights to present major overarching themes and common findings.
We’re also working on an AI helper for writing test scripts. This feature will be able to draft a tasks template for you from scratch, or help you fine-tune a script you’ve already prepared.
Keep an eye out for updates on these future features!
