TryMyUI has rebranded to Trymata! - Trymata
TryMyUI has rebranded to Trymata - Announcement image

For the last 12 years, TryMyUI has been providing user testing tools and software to UXers, designers, PMs, marketers, and anyone else who’s wanted to get the user’s view.

Our mission at TryMyUI has always been to help companies understand how users are interacting with their digital products, where they struggle and get lost or confused, what they love, and everything in between.

When we acquired the product analytics tool Stitchology.ai earlier this year, for us it was a step towards providing a more holistic, end-to-end solution for understanding users’ experiences and behaviors. Now, we’ve arrived at the next step: creating a new, unified brand that reflects our comprehensive vision of the future of digital experience insights.

Read on to learn more about why we’re rebranding, and what it will mean for you if you’re an existing TryMyUI customer or tester.

What is Trymata?

“Trymata” is a real word that refers to any kind of nut with a tough outer shell and an edible interior, such as a walnut or pecan. To get at the edible nut inside, you first have to do the hard work of breaking through the outer shell.

Metaphorically, we think it’s a lot like the practice of doing user experience research: to really uncover how people respond to your designs, your copy, your value propositions, and everything else they interact with, you’ve got to crack through dense layers of data and analytics to reach the valuable insights within.

Our new Trymata logo below reflects this idea: a half-shell, cracked open to reveal the prize inside.

What does the rebrand mean for customers?

Under our unified new brand identity, we are now offering two unique and parallel product suites – Usability Testing & Product Analytics – which can be purchased separately, or together for an incredibly powerful integrated research experience.

If you are already using our usability testing tools, your current plan will continue on uninterrupted, and you will be able to access your account as usual from our rebranded website. Depending on your plan level, you should already have received an email update from our customer success team with specifics about your plan. We encourage you to reach out to them with any questions.

If you’d like to learn more about our new product analytics offering, discuss how it could benefit your team, and get access to a free trial, schedule a call with us here!

Trymata's product analytics & session replay tools

Usability testing & product analytics together

By combining these two methods of research into one platform, we believe you’ll be able to achieve a much more powerful level of insight into your products’ digital experience. The research that can be done within each suite informs the other, enabling you to plan and execute more targeted, accurate research while constantly benchmarking outcomes and UX KPIs.

  • With our product analytics suite, you’ll be able to easily sift through massive amounts of live behavioral data to understand your user flows and uncover hidden patterns and pain points from real sessions.
  • With our usability testing suite, you can run targeted in-depth tests on the flows you identify and the problems you surface, to hear users’ thoughts and feedback and learn how to turn frustration into delight.
    • Watch screen-recorded videos with real-time audio feedback & narration from users
    • Get insights into why users are making the choices they do, and why they like and dislike different aspects of your designs
    • Collect quantitative UX data like overall usability scores, task metrics, and customized survey questions
  • The process doesn’t stop there! With custom goals and all the live data you get from the product analytics suite, you can measure the impact of your design changes on business goals after acting on the user feedback you’ve collected.

With product analytics and usability testing, you get the complete picture of your digital experience, so you can continually increase your understanding and iterate towards the best possible product.

Over the next several months, we’ll be adding even more ways that these two product suites can integrate together to empower your user research.

Trymata is offering new UX research options for agencies

User testing solutions just for agencies

Besides the new product analytics suite, we’re also unveiling a new Agency Plan tailored specially to the needs of design, UX, marketing, and CRO agencies that work on multiple clients’ digital products.

We’ve been working with agencies for many years, and know from our conversations with them that SaaS tools often don’t mesh well with agencies’ typical workflows and budgets – and we want to change that.

We are now offering a flexible, easy-to-use agency model that will enable you to manage multiple distinct client licenses under a single umbrella, while keeping the research data and billing for each one separate and secure. All this will also come with significant bundled discounts to you and your clients.

Coming 2023: Your new insights repository!

The last big piece of this announcement, for our customers, is that we have also acquired an insights repository platform called Consider.ly!

Consider.ly will enable you to pull together datasets from all of your research & testing undertakings (for example, usability tests, product & web analytics, surveys, interviews, and more) in one platform.

With a robust set of data analysis capabilities that we’ll be expanding and integrating over the next several months, you’ll be able to create systems for organizing, querying, and synthesizing the entire breadth of your experience research data.

The Consider.ly platform will be available for purchase to our customers beginning January 2023.

Trymata mobile and desktop user testing

What does the rebrand mean for testers?

If you’re a tester that’s part of the TryMyUI panel, the rebrand will not change much about your day-to-day experience with our platform.

Firstly, we hope that as our company continues to grow and evolve, we will be able to offer even more testing opportunities for you to participate in!

Secondly, we have released new versions of our desktop recorder and iOS & Android apps for taking tests. The updated versions are primarily only different in that they are now branded with the Trymata name and logo, instead of our old TryMyUI brand. There will not be any significant changes to how you receive and perform tests.

Make sure to update to the latest versions so you’re ready for future user tests you may receive. You’ll also be reminded to update before starting any new test (if you haven’t done so already).

We believe that our new Trymata name captures the essence of the invaluable insights we provide to those who are actively working to create better websites and apps. Together with your valuable feedback, we hope to help to shape the future of our shared experiences online. None of this would be possible without you!

Looking ahead to the future

As Trymata, it’s our aim to provide an end-to-end solution that empowers you to build a sustainable, far-reaching digital experience analytics practice. We believe that product research is most impactful when it measures exactly how your product is impacting revenue, conversions, and other goals.

Through the combination of the tools that Trymata is offering and continuing to expand and build on, we are helping you to do just that – and ultimately, to build the best possible digital experience for your users.
